MSSPIX Media Day at Fort Leonard Wood

What:   The Press is invited to view technology demonstrations during the Maneuver Support, Sustainment and Protection, Integration eXperiments (MSSPIX) 2019 Media Day, hosted by the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Fort Leonard Wood

When:   8:30 to 11:30 a.m., May 7, 2019; (RSVP by May 6 to the Public Affairs Office at 573.563.5038)

Where:  Meet at Fort Leonard Wood’s Main Gate Visitors Center on Missouri Avenue at 8:15 a.m.

Details: The Maneuver Support Center of Excellence invites members of the media to view technology demonstrations in combination with a two-week experiment taking place at Fort Leonard Wood. Technologies include mobility operations scenarios such as Hazard Detection Sensors, and Obstacle Reduction, Breaching & Clearance; along with protection scenarios including Alternative Power/Renewable Energy, Perimeter Defense Sensors, Advanced Materials/Structures and Decision Support Software. The purpose of MSSPIX is to explore concepts and materiel development to enable the Army Force in areas such as mobility, force protection, as well as endurance and operational reach in support of multi-domain operations. During the MSSPIX Demonstration, media will have the opportunity to observe the technologies, interact with those who participated in the experiment and engage with the technology providers.

Agenda (times are estimated):

8:15 to 8:30 –               Arrival at Visitors Center
8:30 to 8:45 a.m. –     Travel from Visitors Center to technology demos
8:45 to 9 a.m. –           Welcome and MSSPIX19 Overview
9 to 11:15 a.m. –           View technology demos
11:15 to 11:30 a.m. –   Travel and return to Visitors Center/Depart
