FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (July 30, 2021) Effective immediately, face masks are now required to be worn continuously inside all Fort Leonard Wood facilities by all individuals, age 2 and older, regardless of vaccination status. This does not apply to on-post, personal housing, and the only exception is for fully vaccinated individuals who may remove their mask only when alone in an office with floor-to-ceiling walls and a closed door.

All individuals who are not fully vaccinated must also wear a mask outside when physical, or social, distancing is not possible in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and DoD Force Health Protection guidelines.

This change is due to recent Department of Defense guidance issued July 28 and General Order No. 2 – effective July 30 and signed by Maj. Gen. James Bonner, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood commanding general.

Personnel with questions should contact their immediate supervisor or chain of command.

Vaccinations for TRICARE beneficiaries, and DoD civilians and contractors, are available at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital and the PX Clinic. Appointments can be made by calling the appointment line: (866) 299-4234 or by using the app: https://informatics-stage.health.mil/GLWACHCOVIDApp/.
