FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (June 12, 2018) – The Air Force Detachment at Fort Leonard Wood will hold an assumption-of-command ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday in Nutter Field House.

Lt. Col. Josh Aldred will take command of the 364th Training Squadron, Detachment 1.

Lt. Col. Thomas Wegner, 364th Training Squadron commander, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, is scheduled to preside over the ceremony.

Aldred, who holds a doctorate in civil engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, comes to Fort Leonard Wood from Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, where he most recently served as the deputy director of the Energy Directorate at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center.

The 364th Training Squadron, Detachment 1, produces about 1,400 mission-ready Airmen annually in the fields of Pavements & Equipment, Ground Transportation, Engineering and Emergency Management.
