FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (April 9, 2020) — Effective Friday, April 10, everyone entering the Fort Leonard Wood Commissary will need to wear a face covering.

Customers must supply their own face coverings and must keep their face coverings on while inside the store. Face coverings are not required to be medical grade. Examples of non-medical face coverings are cloth masks, neck gaiters, scarves, bandanas, etc.

According to Marian Gilbert, Commissary Store Manager, these safety measures are being put in place to keep as many people healthy as possible and halt the spread of COVID-19.

The Commissary has implemented Designated Shopping from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday through Friday for those aged 65 and older and eligible Tier 1 employees.

Regular shopping hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ID cards will be checked at the door and limits may apply to some items. And, as an added precaution, use of reusable bags has been discontinued.

Fort Leonard Wood’s Main Exchange is also requiring all patrons to wear a face covering.
