FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (May 6, 2021) — The U.S. Army Engineer School is scheduled to host a change of commandant ceremony at 9 a.m. May 11 in Lincoln Hall Auditorium.

During the ceremony, Brig. Gen. Mark Quander will transfer responsibilities for the Engineer Regiment to Col. Daniel Hibner, who will become the school’s 99th commandant and chief of the Engineer Regiment.

Hibner comes to Fort Leonard Wood after serving as the commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District.

Quander is slated to become the next commanding general of the U.S. Army Military Academy West Point.
