Make a Difference Day is a national day for helping others. This annual event is an opportunity for people to give back to their community.

This year’s Make a Difference Day is scheduled from 7 a.m. to noon Oct. 27. The Army Volunteer Corps is looking for organizations with projects that volunteers can participate in on this Make a Difference Day.

Volunteers from all around the community can participate. They can help paint, rake, clean up or run a drive, such as a book-, clothing- or food drive.
