FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (July 15, 2024) — Fort Leonard Wood’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band live in concert on July 26 on Gerlach Field. The band, which is now a Gary Sinise Foundation program, uplifts and celebrates our nation’s defenders and their families and to-date has performed more than 560 concerts around the globe.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with the Lt. Dan Band taking the stage at 7 p.m.
The concert is free and open to those who have access to Fort Leonard Wood.
The Lt. Dan Band, founded by actor and humanitarian Gary Sinise in 2003, is a cover band known for its energetic performances and support for those who have heroically served including military, veterans, first responders, and their families. Named after Sinise’s iconic character Lieutenant Dan Taylor in the Academy Award-winning film Forrest Gump, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary on July 6, the band boosts morale on military bases at home and abroad and raises awareness at benefit concerts across the country.
