FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (January 30, 2023) – Fort Leonard Wood officials have issued a two-hour delayed reporting time for Tuesday, Jan. 31, for non-mission essential personnel – as previously identified by supervisors.
For example, personnel who normally report to work at 7:30 a.m., should now report at 9:30 a.m.; those who normally report at 8 a.m., will report at 10 a.m.
The reporting delay is issued for safety and allows road crews time to treat roads.
Unscheduled leave policy is in effect for those individuals who are unable to report by their reporting time. Supervisors may permit telework for employees who have transportation complications due to the weather. Please check with your immediate supervisor for more details.
Child Development Centers are scheduled to open at 8 a.m. and close at their normally scheduled times.
Davidson Fitness Center will open at 8 a.m. with reduced staff. Specker Gym will open with a two-hour delay or as staffing allows.
All other MWR facilities will open as regularly scheduled and will close at the normally scheduled times. Staffing could impact opening times. Please check the MWR web pages www.leonardwood.armymwr.com/ and www.facebook.com/mwr.ftwood for details.
Appointments at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital before 9 a.m. will be rescheduled. GLWACH’s Emergency Department remains open and operational. For recorded information regarding GLWACH, call the appointment line at 1.866.299.4234.
AAFES Main Exchange, the Mini Mall, and the North and South shoppettes will open at 8 a.m. and close at their normally scheduled times.
The Commissary will open at 7 a.m. and close at its normally scheduled hours.
ID Card appointments scheduled before 10 a.m. will be rescheduled. Those with appointments scheduled during that time should call (573) 596.0744 if a representative does not reach out within 24 hours.
Motorists are reminded to slow down due to icy road conditions and allow extra time to arrive at their destinations safely.
