FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (Nov. 29, 2018) — The Fort Leonard Wood Combined Federal Campaign is underway. The CFC provides federal employees with the opportunity to give to charities via a one-time donation or payroll deduction.

A charity fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the USO, 805 Iowa Ave, where 20 to 25 charities are expected to be in attendance.

This year’s campaign, themed, “Show Some Love,” is scheduled to run through Jan. 12. According to Michele Piccione-Leone, Fort Leonard Wood CFC executive assistant, this year some local charities are accepting time pledges in lieu of monetary donations.

Donations may be made with check, credit card (online only), or payroll deduction (Government employees only). No CAC is necessary for the online Donor System.

According to gatewaycfc.org, the CFC is one of the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaigns, raising millions of dollars each year. The event is open to all service members, DOD employees, government contractors and military retirees.

The online donation site, https://cfcgiving.opm.gov, is now active. For more information, call Piccione-Leone at 573.563.4057 or email michele.l.piccione-leone.civ@mail.mil.
