FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (Jan. 24, 2019) — “In our professions and in our communities and in our homes, we can honor and celebrate Dr. King’s life and his legacy. The march towards true equality continues. We owe it to the generations that came before us and the generations that will come after to keep fighting. I look forward to the world I want for all children — and my own. A world where choices are made based on desires and dreams and potential, not stereotypes. A world where future generations of young men and women will end up exactly where they want to be, where their true passions lie,” said Maj. Gen. Donna Martin, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood commanding general, while speaking at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. program at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City Jan. 16.
