FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (Aug. 2, 2018) – The following Fort Leonard Wood announcements are for the week of Aug. 6 through Aug. 10.

Aug. 4

Saturday Legal Assistance, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Fort Leonard Wood Legal Assistance Office. The office will be open special weekend hours to provide legal assistance services through a staff of three Judge Advocates and two paralegals. Legal assistance attorneys and  paralegals can help with wills, powers of attorney, basic estate planning, family law matters such as divorce, custody and support, landlord/tenant issues, military administrative actions, real estate, and consumer law and other issues. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Aug. 10

Bass tournament,  7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. August 10 at the Lake of the Ozarks Recreation Area. Grab your fishing rod and try to lure in the big one. Each boat must have a DOD authorized card holder. Cost is $40 per boat and $10 additional Big bass. For more information, call 573.346.5640.

Aug. 16

STEAM Lab, 4 to 5:30 p.m. August 16 at the Bruce C. Clarke Library. S.T.E.A.M. Lab is a place for children of all ages to come learn, play, build, and create! Enjoy kits, projects, and crafts that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics! Join us in this fun and interactive environment, where children can learn new things and fulfill their creativity and curiosity. This is a self-paced program and the children have the opportunity to work without time constraints or press of a particular goal. The S.T.E.A.M. Aug. 17

Movie in the park, 8 p.m. Aug. 17 at Colyer Park. Bring your blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a movie on the big screen under the stars. No show if rain or high winds. Concessions will be available for purchase from the BOSS program. This Movie in the Park will feature the movie “Paddington 2.” There is no cost to watch the movie.
