FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (May 22, 2025) — The U.S. Army Engineer School is scheduled to host a change-of-commandant ceremony and a change-of-responsibility ceremony at 9 a.m. May 30 on the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence Plaza.
During the ceremony, Col. Steve Kolouch, who will the receive the rank of brigadier general during a frocking ceremony May 29, will transfer responsibilities of USAES and the Army Engineer Regiment to Col. Timothy Hudson.
Hudson is coming from the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he served as the district commander.
Kolouch will be heading to the United Kingdom where he will serve with the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps.
Also during the ceremony, MSCoE and Fort Leonard Wood will farewell Command Sgt. Maj. Zachary Plummer and will welcome Command Sgt. Maj. David Palmer as the next USAES Command Sergeant Major.
Plummer is departing to be the command sergeant major for the Pacific Ocean Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Palmer comes from Fort Irwin, Calif., where he served as the garrison command sergeant major.
