FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – Fort Leonard Wood’s Drill Sergeant and Advanced Individual Training Platoon Sergeant of the Year are both preparing to defend their home turf during the upcoming U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Best Warrior competition.
Fort Leonard Wood will host the TRADOC competition Sept. 11 through 15. Staff Sgt. Chad Hickey, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence DSoY, said there isn’t any added pressure with the competition being held here.

FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – Job seekers will have an opportunity to market their skills, network and perhaps take part in on-the-spot interviews at the Soldier For Life – Transition Assistance Program Hiring and Education Fair, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug. 31 in Nutter Field House on post.
An estimated 40 employers and higher education institutions are slated to be on hand for this event. Participants can expect employers from the fields of health care, trucking, retail sales, insurance, state government, law enforcement and education.

Press Release Fort Leonard Woods Know Your World celebration to return
FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – More than 70 military officers from more than 30 different countries will come together to put on the 17th annual Know Your World event at Nutter Field House, from 6 to 8 p.m., Aug. 25.
Fort Leonard Wood is home to a diverse military presence. Military personnel from all around the world come to train at Fort Leonard Wood and they bring with them cultures that many have never experienced.
