FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. — The Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City is scheduled to host an Army 250th Birthday Wreath Laying Ceremony at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12 in the Rotunda. The event, organized by Fort Leonard Wood and the Daughters of the American Revolution, will feature guest speakers Lt. Gov. David Wasinger and Maj. Gen. Christopher Beck, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood commanding general.

This ceremony will include Fort Leonard Wood Soldiers dressed in authentic period uniforms from the Revolutionary War to present.

For 250 years, America’s Army has served and defended the people of the United States, the American way of life and our nation.
