March 26

March 27

A Child Youth Services Hiring Fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. March 27 at School Age Center, Building 616. Apply to become a Child and Youth Program Assistant. March 29

In addition to regularly scheduled religious services, a Protestant Good Friday Service is set for noon March 29 at Soldier Memorial Chapel. A Catholic Good Friday service begins at 6 p.m. March 29 at Soldier Memorial Chapel.

Youth Sports and Fitness will be offering Youth Bowling. The season will run from April 3 to May 16. League times for ages five to eight will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays. League times for ages nine to 15 will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Youth will receive a pair of bowling shoes at the conclusion of the season. Cost is $70 per youth. A Community Easter Sunrise Service starts at 6:30 a.m. March 31 at the Military Police Memorial Grove (inclement weather location is the Specker Barracks Chapel). April 1

Fort Leonard Wood’s Month of the Military Child proclamation signing and kick-off celebration is set to take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 1 at Daugherty Bowling Center. The event will feature raffle drawings and giveaways, bowling and concessions. Visit for details.

The German Liaison Element to the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence is hosting a German Easter service for the Fort Leonard Wood community, starting at 5:30 p.m. April 3 at Soldier Memorial Chapel, followed by a reception in the chapel’s annex. Call 573.563.4028 for details.

The Fort Leonard Wood Tax Center is open through April 15 to provide free tax return preparation services. Due to limited resources, this year’s complete filing services will be limited to Gold Star family members and retirees. The Tax Center is located at 316 Missouri Ave., Bldg. 315, and the hours of operation are 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Staff will operate under a drop-off and pick-up process, and like in 2023, in-person appointments will not be available. Active-duty service members will receive guided self-support as they file their own taxes, 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. February 23 and March 29 in Thurman Hall, Room 3316. Beginning in mid-February, contractors will be performing a required inspection of all Fort Leonard Wood on-post family housing, to include a visual survey of the exterior, along with the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, plumbing and electrical systems. The inspectors – who will wear a mask and shoe covers, if requested – will need access to the interior of each home for approximately one hour per house, and at least one resident 18 years or older must be present during the inspection.
