July 16

July 18
Registration is now open for a USO Military Spouses Networking event scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 18. This event gives military spouses the opportunity to learn about USO programs, discuss the art of networking, and network with other military spouses, hiring employers and community leaders. Facilitators will lead participants in learning more about networking and then once participants are ready, they will take part in a “Speed-networking” event designed to give everyone one-on-one time with everyone in the room. Fort Leonard Wood is slated to celebrate the 100th anniversary of warrant officers providing technical expertise to the U.S. Army, with several events across the installation July 19. Celebratory events kick off July 19 with a run beginning at 5:30 a.m. on Gammon Field. A lunch with a cake-cutting ceremony is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 19 at the Pershing Community Center. Reservations are encouraged, and the cost of this event is $14.50. Everyone is encouraged to attend the celebration scheduled to finish the day from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the Pershing Community Center, where there will be food and music. Old Dominion, live in concert July 20 at Gerlach Field. Cost is $25 in advance and $30 the day of show. Children ages 3 and younger do not require a ticket.
