FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (April 26, 2024) – The following Fort Leonard Wood announcements are for the week of April 29 through May 3.

April 29

Kids bowl free from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. from now all the way through September at Daugherty Bowling Center. Offer available to registered youth Wednesday through Saturday. Youth Sports and Fitness will be offering Mini Sports for ages three to four. Kids will spend two weeks learning the skills of each sport: Basketball, Soccer, and T-Ball. Season runs from June 8 through July 13. Sessions are 45 minutes long at 9, 10, or 11 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Current year’s sports physicals required for all participants. Cost is $30 per child, t-shirt included. May 6

Starting May 6, the South Gate will be open 24/7, and the West Gate will be open from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. There are no changes to the hours of operation for the North or East gates.

May 9

The Fort Leonard Wood Transition Assistance Program is hosting a career fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 9 in Nutter Field House. Call 573.596.7070 for details.

May 16

The Fort Leonard Wood Commissary will have a sidewalk sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 16 to 18, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 19. Call 573.596.0783 for details.

May 22

The next Ready and Resilient, or R2, Fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 22 at the Main Post Chapel. The R2 Fair provides opportunities to participate in activities and speak with subject matter experts about resources and assistance programs that can help with life stressors. 2024 Youth Sports & Fitness Summer Season will run from 28 May – 20 July. This summer’s sport is Co-ed Volleyball. Volunteer coaches needed for all age groups! If interested, call us at 573.596.0185.
