FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – Fort Leonard Wood is scheduled to host a Community Information Forum focused on snow and ice removal procedures and Holiday Block Leave at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 28 at the USO facility.
Presentations on both programs will be made along with a brief from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Community organizations will also be on hand 15 minutes before opening remarks and following presentations to provide information.
“I would encourage the community, on and off post, to attend the CIF to gather valuable information from multiple organizations,” said Vicki Reed, U.S. Army Garrison Fort Leonard Wood administrative officer and one of the forum’s coordinators.
Reed said the SNAIR information would also include information about snow and ice removal in housing areas. Participants can also expect presentations about upcoming recreational events and information on suicide prevention.
“The information is important because it will provide a better understanding of community issues, sharing information, upcoming events and networking, ” Reed said.
The CIF was recently reformatted and is now scheduled around significant events on the installation. This forum will be the last of 2017 with the next scheduled for July 2018.
The program will be live streamed from the Fort Leonard Wood Facebook page and community members will be able to ask questions.
“If those watching have a question for the subject matter experts in attendance we will try and answer it, either immediately or shortly after the event ends,” Reed said.
Community members can also present questions for leaders prior to the event by visiting: https://ice.disa.mil/index.cfm?fa=card&sp=111049&s=447.
