FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (Nov. 14, 2018) — Due to forecasted winter weather and anticipated school closures, Fort Leonard Wood officials have announced unscheduled leave policy is in effect Thursday for those personnel who may be affected.

Personnel who need to take unscheduled leave due to winter weather conditions, or who have questions, should contact their immediate supervisor.

Currently a winter weather advisory is in effect with total snow accumulations of up to 3 inches expected in the region tonight and Thursday morning.

Motorists are reminded to check the local road conditions and weather forecast prior to leaving home or work, slow down, wear seatbelts and leave a safe distance between vehicles when travelling on wet or snow/ice-covered roads.
